CHANGES:


ADDITIONAL 3D CAD FILES FOR ENDPLATES ADDED

Problem:

By default, the TeslaGen v1 (miniQEG) uses a pillow block bearing to accomodate
a 15mm shaft.

For a 15mm shaft, an industry standard of pillow block bearing used is
UCFC202D1. The older stock of this bearing has inter-hole mount spacing of 49.57mm
instead of 55.1mm.

Various bearing manufacturers may provide slightly different bearing
dimensions for the same bearing identfier (i.e. UCFC202D1) if there
has been a physical change in the bearing from the old stock to the
new stock. Datasheets alone may or may not be entirely accurate in such situations.
Bearing mount hole spacings and bearing mounting flange dimensions may differ 
from its manufacturer's official datasheet.


Solution:

Additional endplate 3D CAD files have been added to the package to accomodate
both 55.1mm and 49.57mm pillow block bearings. Also, 'blank' endplate files
have been added to allow for custom mounting with specialized bearings by the 
user,in which case final customized CNC machining will be required.

It may also be worth not to start fabrication of the endplates until you have 
the pillow block bearings in your physical possession and can confirm the 
dimensions. 




M6 SUPPORT ROD MATERIAL HAS BEEN CHANGED

Problem:

The reference drawing file "M6_Support_Rod.jpg" shows the material for the
M6 support rod to be non-magnetic stainless steel. This rod goes through the
stator piece(s) to join the support frame of the generator together. If the 
rod was non-magnetic, it could not constructively contribute to carrying the 
magnetic flux lines that circulate around the generator's stator.

Solution:

The reference drawing file "M6_Support_Rod.jpg" has been corrected. The material
to use is carbon steel as it has soft magnetic properties and can carry
the magnetic flux lines circulating in the stator.




ENAMELED COPPER WIRE DIAMETER CHANGE TO 0.7MM

Notice:

The diameter of the enameled copper wire winding around all four high voltage 
stator bobbins have been changed to 0.7mm. All windings are identical!. This will allow for more turns
per stator bobbin and increase the overall inductance of the stator. Thus all
reference documentation containing stator coil winding specifics have been
modified to reflect the change.
